We also specialize in giving the resources and tools to maintain this level of training even after their time in our care. From basic obedience to advanced skills, we are committed to making your bond stronger with your furry friend.

Training Programs

  • Becoming a Bird Dog

    This 6-week course is designed for puppies or dogs that have not yet had a bird season under their belt. In this course, we work on bringing out your dog’s 100% natural abilities.

  • Gun Dog

    This is a monthly course for dogs that have completed a bird season and still require improvement. This course works best given 3 months to see real results.

    -Advanced Steadiness (Steady wing, shot, fall.)

  • Finished Dog

    This program is best suited for dogs who will be running in AKC Master Hunt Tests or 'broke dog' field trials. During this program, dogs will be trained to remain steady to 'wing, shot, fall, and release.' Our Trained Retrieve program, designed to enhance your dog's natural retrieving ability, is also included.

  • Bird Camp

    Summer camp: Montana
    August 1st- September 15th 2025
    12 dogs maximum
    Dogs will be run from horseback on the prairie, being exposed to hundreds of wild birds a week, as well as being exposed to mannerisms expected in the field when ran with another dog. 40,000 acres of prime sharptail, hun, and pheasant habitat.

  • One-on-One

    These sessions are for owners who would like to come out to the grounds for some one-on-one sessions with their dogs. You will receive guidance on what we see and be directed in the right direction toward achieving your dog's individual goals.

  • Started Dog Camp

    This is a 1-year program for breeders or owners who would like to start with a dog that has been properly brought up and exposed to wild birds. Dogs that go through this program will live here at CCK for one year. In that year, your dog will spend over 100 days chasing wild birds in numerous different states and environments. Dogs are to be sent in at 4-6 months of age to be developed by me. After one year, you will have a dog that is trained and eager to please you.
